Class objectives

This class invites students to immerse themselves in different social and cultural environments and seek parallels and commonalities with those who are already living in these environments. Through these experiences, students will learn about the lifestyles which are unique to these societies and cultures, the reality of healthcare and medical care in these communities, the beliefs and reactions toward health and sickness of diverse people from different social and cultural backgrounds, so as to cultivate cultural sensitivities toward those from a different culture.
