Class objectives
To promote cross-cultural exchange by enhancing knowledge of Japanese food culture and horticulture
Class content
- Viewing on-demand materials (13 modules)
- Discussion meetings with the University of Alabama students on September 2, 9, 16, and 23 (4 sessions)
- To build students' English communication skills and confidence in the use of English by improving grammar and pronunciation accuracy and increasing vocabulary.
- To enhance students' understanding of multiculturalism and improve their ability to adapt to other cultures.
- To learn about a wide range of Japanese horticulture, nature, and landscapes, and discuss perceptions and ideas with the University of Alabama students.
- To acquire the ability to independently set tasks, conduct research, and summarize findings.

- 文法および発音の正確さを向上させ，語彙を増やすことで，英語によるコミュニケーションスキルを高め，英語の運用に対する自信を深める。
- 多文化に対する理解を深め，多文化間での適応能力を向上させる。
- 日本の園芸、自然、ランドスケープを幅広く学び、アラバマ大学の学生と感じ方や考えの意見交換を行う。
- 自ら課題を設定して調査を行い，まとめる力を身に付ける。
